As a native of Ashe County, I want to share all the beauty and splendor that I was fortunate enough to grow up around with you. The NC Mountains provide fun and relaxation for the entire family. No matter what season you visit the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, there is always something to do. Winter months are great for snowboarding, skiing and tubing or maybe just snuggling up in front of the fire with a good book and cup of hot chocolate. In the spring, you’ll be amazed at the vibrant array of colors of the apple blossoms, dogwoods, wild flowers, mountain laurel and rhododendron. Spring also signals the beginning of a new season for many of the mountains best attractions such as Tweetsie Railroad, Grandfather Mountain, NC Mountain canoeing, golfing and fishing season.
Everyone enjoys coming to the NC mountains in the summer to escape the heat and hustle of the big cities. Temperatures in the mountains are typically 10 or more degrees lower than temperatures down off the mountain. Hiking, biking, and canoeing the historic New River are favorite past times in the mountains during the summer months. Fall brings a dazzling array of reds, yellows and oranges that cover the NC Mountains in color. NC Horseback Riding thru the mountains is a great way to take in the fall color. No matter what you are looking for on your NC Mountain Vacation, I am committed to helping you find it.
