Hawksnest
Hawksnest Mountain has an elevation of 4,819 feet and a vertical drop of 724 feet. Hawksnest Ski Resort offers 12 slopes ranging from beginner to double-black diamond expert runs. Beginners will love the Kitty Hawk, First Flight and Goshawk runs. Once you’re ready to move up to the intermediate slopes, check out Raven’s Run, The Right Stuff, Merlin, Chicken Hawk, Upper Sock-em-Dog, and Old Blue. For advanced skiers and boarders, Narrow Gauge and Sock-em-Dog will knock your socks off. Expert skiers will appreciate the double-black diamond expert slope, Top Gun.
For the ultimate NC skiing and snowboarding experience, try Nighthawk. On Friday & Saturday nights, Hawksnest Ski Resort offers night skiing with all of the slopes fully lit. Also available at this fantastic NC Mountain ski resort is snow tubing. With the largest tubing park in NC, Hawksnest will provide great tubing fun for the entire family. There are eight 1,000 foot lanes for tubing. For those who just want to watch, there is a 2,000 foot observation deck for watching all the action on the slopes. Hawksnest Ski Resort is located at 2058 Skyland Dr in Seven Devils NC. Seven Devils is only 17 miles from Boone NC and 29 miles from Todd NC. Hawksnest is one of the locals favorite NC Ski Resorts in Western North Carolina.
