New River Adventures
New River Adventures, located at 4041 Todd Railroad Grade Road in Todd NC, provides kayak, canoe and tube rentals. Located only 20 minutes from Boone and West Jefferson, New River Adventures offers kayak, canoe and tube rentals on the scenic New River. Also available at the same location are fishing, bike rentals, and Saturday night movie night. North Carolina whitewater rafting is an experience the whole family will remember.
The New River was declared an American Heritage River in 1998 by President Bill Clinton. Tourists and locals alike enjoy renting canoes, kayaks and tubes to indulge in the scenic beauty of one of the worlds oldest rivers. New River Adventures works to keep the South Fork of the New River clean by offering free kayak and bike rentals on the first Sunday of each month to volunteers that help pick up trash along the New River.
