Stonewood on the River - New River getaway

Looking for that perfect family getaway? Here it is. Stonewood on the River is that perfect mountain cabin experience. Dad will love fishing in the New River but it will be hard to catch anything with the kids spashing around in the water. The cabin features 2 private bedrooms: 1 bedroom features a queen size bed with television. The second features a queen size bed as well as a single. If additional sleeping is needed, there is a pull out in the living room and trindle bed in the sunroom. The kitchen is equipped for cooking or you can grill on the gas grill on the deck.  You'll love cozying up by the fireplaceFor those chilly evenings, there is a firepit outside with seating all around. don't forget the smores! If it starts to rain, no problem, just move to the rocking chairs on the covered front porch and enjoy watching the New RIver flow along.

Stonewood on the RIver is conveniently located to Boone NC (about 15 minutes), West Jefferson NC (about 15-20 minutes) and Wilkesboro NC (about 20-25 minutes). Canoeing is available just up the road in Todd NC as well as horseback riding and bicycling along the New River on Railroad Grade. While you're in Todd, you have to check out the old Todd General Store for a blast back into the past with storytelling and old time bluegrass music.
