Todd General Store
Turn back the clock to a time with life was simpler with a trip to Todd General Store where tall tales abound and you can find a little pickin’ and grinin’ on the weekends. Todd General Store is located half way between Boone and West Jefferson in the quaint little community of Todd NC. The little country store is the oldest operating store in Ashe County.
Todd General Store has always been a gathering spot for locals to meet, sit on the porch, and have a soda pop. Tuesday nights are story nights, so come enjoy some of the best story tellers around weave tall tales for the guests of this unique NC Mountain stop and preserve the history and culture of a time long past. Don’t forget that Friday nights are Bluegrass Nights with a home cooked meal being served at 6 pm and music & dancing starting around 7 pm.
The NC Mountain Attraction also has antiques, crafts, deli, home-made jelly, ice cream, groceries and baked goods.
